Examination of bodies of deceased outside Brno medical facilities

The following are obliged to examine the bodies of the deceased:

1. the relevant GP or paediatrician during their working or visiting hours (this must not interfere with the provision of health care);
2. a doctor providing emergency medical services or the provider contracted by the regional authority; 
3. the  health care provider of the medical facility where the death occurred;
4. the provider of emergency medical services if the death occurred during the provision of pre-hospital emergency care.

When carrying out the examination according to point b), the Emergency Medical Service must be contacted at +420 545 113 153.
